ALPMA Sustainibility #Know-how
Reduced water consumption in our RO systems
ALPMA has developed the AquaECON system in collaboration with HORPOVEL®. This enables us to reduce the amount of water required for cleaning an RO system by 20% to 35%.
Our engineers use precise measurements to ensure that cleaning is just as effective as with higher water consumption.
Reduced water consumption in all membrane filtration systems
ALPMA has developed the Smart Flushing System. This allows us to reduce the amount of water required for cleaning a membrane filtration system by 20%.
Through the clever combination and switching of valves, product and cleaning agent residues are removed from the systems without leaving any residue and with significantly less flushing water.
Reduction of product losses in membrane filtration plants
With the Smart discharge system, ALPMA increases product recovery at the end of each production cycle. Special valve circuits and adapted pump control allow
a high proportion of usable product to be recovered before the product residues have to be flushed out.
Reduction in energy consumption of our membrane filtration systems
Running the pumps on membrane filtration systems at the lowest possible speed optimizes electricity consumption.
Sophisticated process monitoring ensures that the required speed is accurately determined at all times.
Reduction of road traffic by concentrating milk and whey
ALPMA won the International FoodTec Award for its RO HighTS innovation back in 2015. Even then, ALPMA was already focusing consistently on energy savings and reducing
its carbon footprint. Our engineers have developed a membrane system for concentrating milk and whey, which enables us to achieve a total solids content of 30% in whey and up to 36% in skimmed milk. As a result, the number of tankers on the road can be reduced by up to 80%. ALPMA membrane technology enables significant energy savings compared to evaporation.
Automation improves resource management
Automation solutions such as Eagle-Eye —ALPMA's innovative inspection technology with an accuracy rate of >99%—for production processes mean sustainability, ...
use resources more efficiently and relieve people of strenuous work. Furthermore, robots and tailor-made automation solutions solve the challenges faced by cheese dairies, such as the growing shortage of skilled workers. With machines and matching software, ALPMA offers fully automated, customer-specific solutions along the entire value chain for cheese dairies from a single source.
Digitalization as a lever for sustainable cheese production
Digitalization is playing an increasingly important role around the globe and will contribute enormously to promoting sustainability. For example, the “OPTIYIELD” algorithm developed by ALPMA ensures ...
continuous monitoring of our cutting machines. OptiYield constantly learns from the data generated during operation, evaluates the data in real time, and continuously optimizes itself. The settings, regardless of the model, are regulated independently to maintain a consistently high level of performance. These fast response times increase the efficiency of the cutting machines in terms of product utilization, energy consumption, and other aspects, and support the cheese factory's transition to more sustainable production.
Added value through longer service life of ALPMA machines
Durability is a crucial factor in using resources as efficiently as possible. The long service life of an ALPMA machine and its components means long service intervals, ...
less downtime, higher efficiency, and lower costs. We also keep spare parts in stock for a long time. This helps our customers achieve production reliability and a fast ROI.
