The cheese plates are placed on the infeed conveyor or fed via a conveyor belt. With circular knives, the cheeses are first cut longitudinally and then divided into cubes transversely by a blade with long dwell motion.

The slabs are placed onto the infeed belt with gaps or fed in from a CUT 32 or MultiCUT. There are 4 stations in which the cheeses are cut into cubes. The cubes drop onto a discharge conveyor.

In combination with the portion cutter CUT 32, cubes are cut from fixed-weight slices.
